Boom Spraying
Boom Spraying is an efficient way to apply agrichemicals to broad acre crops or pasture. Appchem’s boom sprayer is computer controlled ensuring chemical is applied evenly at the correct rate, which avoids wastage, saving you money. Air-Inducted nozzles further reduce spray drift, ensuring accurate placement. Our versatile equipment, featuring adjustable spray widths allows applications to both large and small land holdings.

Pre-Sow Spray Outs.
Post and Pre-Emergent herbicides.
Selective herbicide spraying in Crops and Pasture. E.g Yellow bristle grass, Giant Buttercup, Thistles, Dock.

Gun Spraying/Spot Spraying
Hose and gun spraying is a quick and cost effective way to target pest weeds. Featuring a spraying unit with twin 200 meter retractable hose reels, we can spot spray rugged terrain and hard to reach places such as gullies, sidling’s and forestry areas. This method of application ensures thorough chemical penetration into large brush weeds, ensuring a better result.

Knapsack spraying is ideal for precision herbicide application through ornamental gardens and riparian areas to control weeds. It is also excellent for moss and lichen control on lawns and hard surfaces.

Brush Cutting & Stump Swabbing

The director of Appchem saw a need for accountable and sustainable spraying contractors in North Taranaki. With 25 years’ experience applying agrichemicals in the horticulture industry, he has now teamed up with his two sons to form Appchem Groundspray.
